My approach and background
I am curious- what are the things you want more of? When you imagine living to your fullest potential what does that look like?
What are the areas of your life that are being negatively affected by your ADHD?
-
Personal relationships?
-
Work?
-
School?
-
Self-regulation?
If you could get the help you need to better manage your ADHD brain, how committed would you be to doing the work?
Coaching is a process of discovery. We will work together to clarify your Signature Strengths, and use those to overcome obstacles and make positive change.
We will increase your understanding of the unique wiring of the ADHD brain and introduce methods to enable the ability to pause and redirect attention leading to better self-command.
We will create a vision of your best life and develop a step-by-step process tailored to your specific desires. “Small steps lead to big changes.”
We do this work with a sense of humor and plenty of wonder.
A Little About Me:
I was diagnosed with ADHD about 10 years ago but it was in high school that I began to notice the challenges of living with an ADHD brain. I have faced significant challenges in my education, career, and personal relationships throughout my life. I tried numerous approaches to better manage my life. Some of those methods worked for a short time, but none provided sustained benefit. Then three years ago I finally hired a coach. This provided the quickest, most dramatic, and sustained improvement.
Since then I have completed the Advanced training course work at the ADD Coaching Academy (ADDCA) and received the AACC certification. I am looking forward to being recognized as a Master Coach.
I have enjoyed a 30+ year career in business with large and small companies, and as an owner. I am a lifetime learner - my favorite places are bookstores and libraries. My favorite activity is playing ice hockey. One of my greatest accomplishments was riding my bicycle cross-country. I have been in the recovery community for 30+ years. I am most proud of my daughters, ages 25 and 27, who are thriving, and who want to spend time with me!
My rates are billed monthly and are based on the number of sessions per month, whether in-person or online/phone, and whether it is individual or family coaching. And, since coaching is a process that takes time to be most effective, it's reasonable to plan on investing six months to see lasting results. Note that either of us can end the agreement at any time.
I also offer a sliding scale because I don't want anyone who needs help not to get it because of money concerns.
